BYU AI for Social Innovation Conference

AI for Social Innovation

October 20 – 22, 2026  •  Brigham Young University

Where stuck problems meet the people who solve them.

AI won't solve social problems on its own. The people building the tools aren't in conversation with the people experiencing the problems. This conference changes that.

We profile every attendee before they arrive, design sessions that put the right people together, and create the conditions for problems that have been stuck to get solved in real time.

Five Audiences. One Table.

Who belongs in this room?

Humanitarian Organizations

You deliver services and run programs. You know the problems. You come with needs that technology could address.

Technologists

You build AI tools and systems. You have expertise the social sector needs but rarely accesses. You come with solutions.

Social Innovators

You've built models that sustain themselves. You know how to make impact financially viable. You come with what works.

Community Stakeholders

You live the experience everyone else is trying to solve. You come with priorities that keep the room honest.

Funders

You deploy capital for impact. You're looking for viable investments that the market won't serve on its own. You come with resources.

Save Your Seat — 200 Spots

This is not a conference. It's an intervention.

Most conferences give you content and hope connections happen. We design the connections first and build the content around them.

Before you arrive, we know your roadblocks, your skills, and your resources. We've already identified who in the room can help you and who you can help. Your badge, your table, your schedule — all designed to put you where the problem gets solved.

1

Before you arrive

We profile your problems, skills, and resources. We match you with the people who fill your gaps.

Day 1: Understand the landscape

Hear from all five audiences. Find your connections. Identify what's possible.

3

Day 2: Solve something

Pre-matched teams tackle real problems. Leave with action plans, partners, and follow-up dates.

What You Walk Away With

Why you should be in this room

If you run a nonprofit or humanitarian organization

You've been trying to figure out how AI applies to your work but every solution you've seen was built for the private sector. Here, technologists hear your actual problems first, then build around them. You leave with a technical partner who understands your context, not a sales pitch.

If you build AI tools

You have skills the social sector desperately needs but can't access. This conference puts you face to face with organizations whose data problems, workflow gaps, and information bottlenecks are solvable with tools you already know how to build. You leave with a real project, not a hypothetical.

If you're a social entrepreneur

You've figured out how to make impact sustainable. You know what scales and what doesn't. The room needs your pattern recognition. You leave with collaborators who can extend your model into new sectors, and funders who are looking for exactly what you've built.

If you work in community or research

You have ground truth that everyone else in the room needs. Your lived experience and field knowledge keep the conversation honest and the solutions grounded. You leave knowing your expertise shaped something real, with ongoing relationships that value what you know.

If you fund or invest for impact

You're looking for deployable AI applications that the market won't serve on its own. This conference pre-vets the problems and the people. You see working partnerships form in real time. You leave with a curated pipeline of fundable collaborations, not a stack of cold proposals.

Registration

Secure your seat

This is a curated conference, not an open event. Every attendee is profiled and matched before they arrive. When you register, we'll ask about your work, your roadblocks, and what you bring to the table. We use that information to design your experience: who you sit with, which sessions you attend, and who you should meet.

Seats are limited to 200 participants across all five audiences.
